Join the Paseo del Rio Association for a family-friendly day of food, music and fun! Watch as 10,000 rubber ducks race through the San Antonio River Walk. A few lucky ducks will win grand prizes! Proceeds from Duck Sales benefit the Paseo del Rio Association and Haven For Hope, a new homeless campus in Downtown San Antonio.
Adopt a duck for a chance to win great prizes and your donation will help provide homeless individuals and families with the training, skills and assistance needed to help them become self-sufficient.
The Paseo del Rio Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to promote, protect and preserve the San Antonio River Walk.
Haven for Hope of Bexar County is an independent non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of homeless men, women and children in the San Antonio-Bexar County area by providing a wide array of critical social services on a centralized campus.

Over 90 canoe teams compete in the FORD Canoe Challenge…local celebrities, city officials, corporate teams and Boy Scouts & Girl Scouts compete in timed heats. The race begins at the Chamber of Commerce, heads east through and around the Convention Center Lagoon, through the Rivercenter Mall Lagoon and ends back at the Chamber of Commerce.

DOS XX Taste of the River Walk September 8th & 9th, 2010
Ticket holders enjoy sampling culinary offerings from over 20 participating River Walk establishments from 6:00pm until 8:30pm each night. Then, all party-goers are encouraged to go to the Scene in SA Post-Party @ Rita’s on the River on Wednesday, September 8th and at The Buckhorn Saloon on Thursday, September 9th from 8:45pm-11pm where drawings will be conducted throughout the evening for great prizes and live music will top off The Taste of the River Walk.

On Saturday, October 30, 2010, from 7-9pm, the San Antonio River Walk hosts the Corona Coffins on Parade. The world famous River Walk in San Antonio always alive and brimming with action is no stranger to Halloween fun! Come out and enjoy the wonderful Corona Coffins on Parade. You do not want to miss this famous Halloween spectacle. Imagine floating coffins in barges traveling along the San Antonio River, as your children squeal in horror or delight. Of course this eerie parade can only be celebrated at night when all the ghosts and goblins come to life. Crowds line the banks of the river to view the coffins passing by on the world famous San Antonio River Walk and the parade is FREE to the public.

FORD Holiday River Parade & Lighting Ceremony Friday, November 26, 2010
At 7:00 p.m. on the Friday following Thanksgiving, the switch is thrown and approximately 122,000 twinkling lights form a magical canopy over San Antonio's River Walk. The lights shine brightly every evening through January 1. The lighting ceremony is the official kickoff to the Paseo Del Rio Holiday Festivities. It's a Texas-size celebration that's Pure San Antonio! Tickets are sold through the Paseo Del Rio Association at (210) 227-4262. For over 20 years, the spectacular one-hour parade along San Antonio's River Walk has featured illuminated floats with celebrities, bands and lavishly-costumed participants. Over 150,000 people will gather along the River Walk to watch the spectacle live along the parade route. Millions more will join in the fun watching the television broadcast. Reserved seating is available along the parade route. |

FORD Holiday Boat Caroling 11/27/2010 - 12/19/2010
Joyous caroling fills the evening air along the San Antonio River Walk as more than 185 school, church, company, and civic choral groups ring in the holidays by singing traditional carols on cruising boats.
The eclectic mix of participants includes bell choirs, folk groups, Latino ensembles, and hearing impaired performers. Join visitors from around the world in impromptu sing-a-longs from the patios of River Walk restaurants. |
